THE ROUTE

Seven unhurried days through Burgundy.

A private journey shaped by quiet waterways, French culture and the pleasures of the table.

A JOURNEY SHAPED BY WATER

A week on board is not about ticking places off a list.

It is about following the river, lingering where it feels right and seeing Burgundy from a different perspective.

Some mornings begin with mist on the water. Others with the quiet sound of the boat moving on, the landscape slowly opening ahead.

AT THE HEART OF BURGUNDY’S VINEYARDS

A visit to the Château du Clos de Vougeot offers a glimpse into the region’s wine heritage, where Cistercian monks first established a working winery in the twelfth century and a Renaissance château was later added among the vines.

Beyond the water, Burgundy opens onto vineyards, stone villages and places shaped by centuries of craftsmanship.

DAYS TO SAVOUR

Burgundy is discovered as much at the table as it is on the water.

Some days begin at the market, choosing ingredients with the season in mind. Others unfold over a long lunch, a glass of local wine and time to enjoy the view.

ON THE WATER, AND BEYOND

Maïtena travels between Dole and Dijon, following Burgundy’s waterways at an unhurried pace, with time to step ashore and discover the places that shape the region.

PORT OF DOLE → ABERGEMENT-LA-RONCE → SAINT-JEAN-DE-LOSNE → AISEREY → PETIT-OUGES → PORT OF DIJON

ON THE WATER

From the port of Dole to the port of Dijon, Maïtena follows the river and canal through quiet landscapes, small harbours and waterside villages.

BEYOND THE WATER

Step ashore to discover historic towns, vineyard landscapes and the flavours that give Burgundy its character.

DOLE · BEAUNE & THE HOSPICES · CHÂTEAU DU CLOS DE VOUGEOT · DIJON

BACK ON BOARD

As the day draws to a close, the water brings you home.
